Samantha is the director and legal Counsel at Greenwatch. Her passion for the environment began at a very young age, when she was older the decision to pursue her passion was clear cut.
She interned with Greenwatch in 2005 at the time she was still studying for a Bachelor of Laws Degree at Uganda Christian University – Mukono. Thereafter, she joined the University of Oregon Masters of Laws in Environmental and Natural Resources program. In 2013, Samantha worked with the Centre for Environmental Rights in Cape Town South Africa. In 2014, she moved back to Kampala and continued to work with Greenwatch as legal counsel.
Samantha is a practicing advocate with Kakuru and Co. Advocates and a member of the Uganda Law Society, the East African Law Society and the Environmental Law Alliance Worldwide.

Roy plays a key role in coordinating daily operations, managing internal processes, and ensuring compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
With a strong background in Business Administration and Operations Management, Roy has continuously enhanced her expertise through ongoing professional studies and capacity-building programs in leadership, governance, financial management, and organizational systems strengthening. Her commitment to lifelong learning enables her to apply modern, practical solutions to evolving operational needs.
Judith Nansubuga is a young Human rights and Environmental activist who is committed to build a just world where rights are protected and the eco-system thrive for the future generations.
Judith holds a Bachelor of Laws from Uganda Christian University Mukono and a Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from Law Development Centre. She worked with Uganda Red cross Society as a volunteer, Centre for Women Justice as the legal and advocacy officer, a Legal Assistant at Tumukunde & Co. Advocates and she is currently working as the Legal Project Officer at Greenwatch.
Judith is also passionate about community development and empowerment aiming at inspiring the young people to take an active role in social justice and environmental conservation.
Unity Niwandinda is a legal researcher and practitioner with a strong interest in research, policy analysis, and the intersection of law, technology, and data. She is committed to promoting good governance, accountability, and supporting sustainable development through community empowerment.
She holds a Bachelor of Laws from Makerere University and a Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the Law Development Centre, with additional training in data analysis. Unity has worked with Kakuru & Co. Advocates as a Legal Clerk and Legal Assistant and with Greenwatch, where she has gained hands-on experience in legal research, litigation support, court processes, and public interest advocacy. Her experience also includes her traineeship at the Business Law Clinic, Makerere University, where she was involved in client advisory, legal aid, and community outreach, contributing to human rights protection and legal empowerment initiatives.
Her work is driven by a passion for using the law to create meaningful social impact and empower communities.
Abdun Bwana Bwanadi is a passionate advocate for environmental protection and climate change, with a strong commitment to community service and legal empowerment. Inspired by his love for farming and nature, he joined Greenwatch as a Climate Legal Fellow to deepen his understanding of climate law and its intersection with legal practice in the region.
Abdun is dedicated to giving back to society through pro bono legal services for various organizations across East Africa, believing in the transformative power of legal aid to uplift underserved communities. He holds a Bachelor of Laws from Islamic University in Uganda (Kampala Campus) and a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the Law Development Centre in Uganda.
With extensive experience in the legal field, Abdun has worked as a Junior Associate at KKL Advocates in Uganda, an Associate at Abdulrahman Saad and Associates Advocates in Kenya, and an Associate at Doli and Associates Advocates in Kenya. He is a practicing Advocate of the High Courts of Kenya and Uganda, and a proud member of the Law Society of Kenya, Uganda Law Society, and the East African Law Society.
Currently serving as a Climate Legal Fellow at Greenwatch, Abdun continues to advocate for the protection of the environment and the rights of communities affected by climate change
Mpewo is an ardent advocate of environmental and climate justice. He believes that the law should be used as a tool to develop society. He has interest in project planning and management in a bid to secure public participation in the protection and conservation of their environments.
Mpewo practices as an Advocate of the High Court of Uganda and is a member of the International Bar Association, Uganda Law Society, and East Africa Law Society. He holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice, and a Bachelor of Laws.
He has previously served in various roles at the African Centre for Treatment and Rehabilitation of Torture Victims, Development Watch Centre, Global Youth Consortium Against Harmful Practices, Signum Advocates, and the Public Interest Law Clinic. These roles have enabled his growth in advocacy and human rights practice especially around vulnerable groups such as Children, Girls and women, PWDs, the Elderly, Displaced persons, and other minority groups.
He has successfully completed various international fellowships and certifications, including at The African Middle Eastern Leadership Institute (AMEL Project), International Institute of Humanitarian Law (Sanremo, Italy), Aspire Institute (Harvard University), and The Kectil Program Initiative of The Malmar Knowles Family Foundation (KECTIL).
Ramon Tindimwebwa is a Legal Project Officer at Greenwatch with a passion for making a difference through his work. Before joining Greenwatch, he worked as a Junior Associate at Nabasa & Co. Advocates, gaining experience in mediation, commercial transactions, corporate governance, and environmental law.
Ramon is driven by his interest in legal innovation and public interest litigation. He has been actively involved with the Legal Innovation Hub, helping to organize the World Legal Summit for three years, where he promoted the use of technology to advance the legal profession. His commitment to growth and leadership is evident through his time at Fidelis Leadership Institute, where he worked on strengthening both his personal and professional skills.
Ramon has also volunteered with the Uganda Christian Lawyers Fraternity, supporting their Continuous Legal Education programs. His diverse skills and genuine passion for innovation and the environment make him an integral part of the Greenwatch team.
